‘Like A Fire Engine’ marks the latest release from Boston-based ‘Dream of a Man in a Top Hat’. The psychedelic, post-punk, alternative rock duo have impressed us over at TJPL before but now, they’ve gone and done it again with this release.

This is classic. The distant lead guitar riffs are super effective when combined with the frontline bassline in the verses and the way that they switch positions throughout the song in perfect weaving transitions. The vocals are distant and reminiscent of the sound of Blur. Good old-school British Underground Indie Rock has travelled air miles to reach its place in the sound of this American duo.

The guitar riffs deserve a second mention! Weaving in and out of indie rock and a dance-worthy hint of Groove influence, this is a song that I know I will have on replay again and again.
