Leeds-based Alternative, Folk-Rock, and Alt-Rock band #TheBanquets have released their latest single #TwoLittleAcorns. Before we get into the track it's important that I introduce the members! #TheBanquets consists of Gem (lead vox), Leon (guitar), Francis Watson (drums, percussion, backing vocals), and, Jonny Lyons (Bass). The track opens with some beautiful folk twangs from Leon that are accompanied by percussion from Frances Watson along with his perfect vocal addition to lead singer Gem. I particularly like the way that this track is so laid back in articulation but so deep in lyrical content. The song is a dedication to the memory of lead singer Gem's late father who she sadly lost at age 16. This song takes inspiration from the nickname that was given to herself and her sister "Little Acorns". This song is definitely one to hear!
