Rise Defy have a sound that lives and breathes rock. ‘Shellshocked’ is a balls-to-the-wall melodic medley. It gets in and it does it fast, beating on the drums and thrashing in the highs, presenting one hell of a hard and fast rock song. The second song, ‘Long Road Home,’ tones it down a bit (don’t worry, just a little bit!). The song keeps the pace and keeps the velocity but it focuses more on the harmonies of bass, drums and guitar and what they can give to the vocals. The pair of songs are a brilliant showcase of Rise Defy’s unending torrent of beautiful rock talent.
