SAVES THE WITCH

It's Dangerous to go Alone, Take Me

Southport, NC, United States

‘It’s Dangerous to go Alone, Take Me’ is an instrumental song from the amazingly talented, Saves the Witch. The track sits in the shoegaze genre, but it's not a static sound. It takes influence from classic blues, metal, alternative and classic rock. The guitars take the main stage, their voices clear and crisp in the night air. The percussion in the back is soft and sends you off to a dreamscape as if playing a lullaby. Atmospheric sounds twinkle in the back, adding layers and depth to the comfortable darkness. It's an astounding sound, one that swept me off my feet from the instant it hit my ears.

Saves the Witch scratches the same itch that Khruangbin does but with a subtler vibe. It's blue, it’s starlight, it's a solar mist come to sparkle against the clouds. ‘It’s Dangerous to go Alone, Take Me’ is a track that I will keep in my back pocket to whip out any moment I’m feeling down. A life raft of tone.
