The contemporary Christian music scene gets a much-needed shot in the arm with Star Persona's new single, "All Is Forgiven," a track that recently graced Spotify's New Music Friday Christian playlist. Led by Claude Malette, who serves as the band's primary songwriter and plays everything from guitars and bass to crafting lyrics and melodies, Star Persona takes you on a spiritual journey that speaks to the heart.

Star Persona is influenced by the titans of rock—Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Led Zeppelin—and it shows in their music. While they've mostly been grinding it out in local bars like The Brass Monkey and The Rainbow, they've had their fair share of unique experiences. Notably, they performed in front of Queensrÿche's Geoff Tate at an open mic event, a memory that certainly adds to their rock 'n' roll journey.

The single was meticulously crafted at the Ottawa Valley Recording Studios under the guidance of Steve Foley. What sets "All Is Forgiven" apart is its core message. The song is a powerful narrative about the complexities of forgiveness, illustrating that although the act that caused pain may remain, the act of forgiving can free one's soul and contribute to personal growth. This sentiment is reflective of the band’s ethos that revolves around personal redemption and spiritual awakening.

In terms of production, the process was not without its humorous moments. Claude Malette recalls having to redo his guitar solo because the producer was unimpressed with the initial take. The end result, however, turned out even better. In a cheeky moment post-production, the drummer listened to the final version and expressed that the drum fills during the bridge could be better—only to realize he had been the one to play them. He quipped, "Well, I guess sometimes you're your own toughest critic!"

This aligns well with a quote from one of their previous reviews: "Star Persona are a talented outfit and their music more than deserves your attention."

In sum, "All Is Forgiven" is an emotional and spiritual voyage. In a world where holding grudges is often easier than letting go, Star Persona delivers a timely reminder that forgiveness is not only divine but also necessary for personal growth and emotional well-being. A must-listen for anyone seeking peace and spiritual enlightenment.
