As The Lunar Keys head towards the end of the 2022 cycle, they are over the moon with the support that they have received (puns intended). Their latest release of the year comes in the form of 'MANIAC' - a super catchy, alt-rock banger!

'MANIAC' was released on 25th November with a very special and meaningful cause - The Lunar Keys have pledged to donate £1 to the nurses and The Royal Surrey Hospital for each of their first 250 reviews or airplays that this track receives in acknowledgement of all of the support that they give to patients including to their very own guitarist - Steve.

'MANIAC' was recorded by Billy Foster at Snap Studios and mastered by John Davis (The Killers, U2, Royal Blood) at Metropolis alongside the band's members Lexi (Keys/BV), Dom (Drums), JC (Vocals & Bass) and Steve (Guitar/BV).

So, what does the song entail? The lyrics speak of being prayed upon, having your vulnerabilities manipulated and used against you and being left with a sense of feeling victim to gaslighting. What do you do with those feelings? you become a "Maniac". This is a bold and honest song which addresses feelings that we don't always want to talk about. -"Like a Maniac - caught in me. Pain said welcome back, I’ll set you free - from your anxieties."

The instrumentation is a cool and collected expression of lead guitar, drumming patterns and vocals. The backing vocals are very gritty but also relaxing! The solos border on heavy metal. This is a spectacular piece for all of the above reasons but key to this track is the vocals! - TAMARA JENNA
