Sydney-Based Singer-Songwriter Tia Beale Drops Empowering New Single 'You're Bad,' a Breakup Anthem with a Twist

Australian singer-songwriter Tia Beale has just dropped her latest single, "You're Bad," and it's set to be the breakup anthem dominating your playlists.

A Cathartic Creative Process

Tia's new single, "You're Bad," is a pop masterpiece tinged with elements of funk and groove. The song draws heavily from her own experiences with past relationships, making the writing process incredibly cathartic for her. "I wanted to pen down an empowering narrative about the end of a toxic relationship," Tia said. "It's about that moment when you pause and wonder, 'Should I have walked away sooner?' It takes immense courage to admit someone's bad for you and even more to actually do something about it."

A Star-Studded Collaboration

For this project, Tia collaborated with her producer Steve Clisby, who gained fame on The Voice Australia in 2020, and two-time Grammy winner Helik Hadar. "Working with Steve and Helik was an absolute joy. To witness a song evolve from a mere idea to a full-fledged track is a magical process. And to do it with such masters of the craft is an honour," she added.

Lyrics that Resonate

The lyrics of "You're Bad" will strike a chord with anyone who's navigated the choppy waters of a difficult relationship. Tia aims to remind her listeners that life's too short to be spent on things—or people—that don't bring joy. "I've heard a thousand lies, I don't want to waste my time," she reiterates through her lyrics.

A Rising Star

Tia is no newcomer to the music scene. Her debut EP, simply titled 'Tia,' was released in 2019 when she was just 20 years old. With plans to record two more songs later this year with renowned LA-based music producer John Ho, it's clear that Tia is a talent on an unstoppable ascent.
