ADRIAN PAUL SAXTON/BELLA DISASTRO - Manuka - SINGLE REVIEW

ADRIAN PAUL SAXTON/BELLA DISASTRO

Manuka

Los Angeles, United States

Bella Disastro’s new track ‘Manuka’ is the perfect listen for this spooky time of year, depicting imagery of partying in the afterlife. ‘Manuka’ is the ultimate dance – rock hit for anyone who enjoys letting their hair down and enjoying music with more of a vintage feel.

The musicality of the track is what creates this song to be quite riveting and contagious for the listener. The level of detail in the guitar picking and riffs gives it quite a lively atmosphere and pushes that rustic and retro feel to the song, making this track quite diverse in its incorporation of rock and indie styles. The vocals also were very fitting for these themes. There was an alternation from low and more mellow tones in the verses, and then really diving into the dance/ rock component in the chorus. The wide soundscape ‘Manuka’ conveys is what grips the listener, the pleasant melody line in the guitar plucking, along with the loose and rustic feel to the vocals alludes to feelings of nostalgia for the 70s dance rock era. And in turn, this creates quite vivid imagery for the listener, ensuring they attach their own pleasant memories to the track when dancing along.
