London-Based Avant-Pop Artist Explores Emotional Growth and Self-Acceptance in Five Bold Tracks

Azileli Embraces Vulnerability with New EP Fruiting Parts

South London-born producer, singer-songwriter, and visual artist Azileli unveiled her deeply personal and conceptually rich EP, Fruiting Parts, on November 22, 2024. Blending elements of trip-hop, avant-pop, and electronic, this five-track release invites listeners into an emotional journey through grief, anger, dominance, isolation, and submission—emotions that Azileli believes are "uncomfortable but necessary to share."

About the Concept

The title Fruiting Parts is inspired by a conversation Azileli once had with a therapist who described her suppressed feelings and traits as having "grown very small." Each song on the EP represents a “seed” of emotion, nurtured through the creative process until it became “ripe for the picking.” Azileli explains, “Making these songs taught me to accept these parts of myself. It’s satisfying to see how they’ve grown into something I can share, releasing myself from them in the process.”
