‘Something New’ from Brian Jarvis is what it says on the tin. Or the cover … The point is, it's a fresh blend of pop rock and steady pop that is lifted up off of the ground by the heartwarming harmonic vocals that dominate the single. The instrumental is a fine blend of electric and acoustic, with percussion coming from drums and a lovely high-bell synth adding support in the back. The vocals glide atop this cloud of sound with a melody that will get even the toughest of branches swaying in the midnight wind. It's a song to raise a glass to and sway a lighter to.
Brain Jarvis shows his musical competencies in ‘Something New,’ it's a rush to hear such a sound performed so easily. You almost forget just what he’s doing until you find yourself straining to sing along to that uplifting chorus.
