Gary Dranow and the Manic Emotions have been a regular appearance over here at TJPL NEWS for a specific reason – Their ability to create and release persistently banging rock and roll. Their first two releases ‘Fool Outta Me’ and ‘Twisted Minds’ have paved the way for their newly released single ‘Something About You’. In this release, Dranow and the band have brought the energy of classic rock from the off through a catchy repetitive guitar riff and old-school flair.
The lyrics are full of depth and tell the story of a man who has met his world in human form. “I can’t live without you, but I struggle inside to be free. There’s no trouble about you” is a beautiful set of linguistics.
Taking several jumps into a heavier progression at key points in the piece is something that works extremely well to lift the music even further.
