REVIEW

#JordanJames featured on our platform back in April with his single 'Stable' making it to NUMBER 3 in our Weekly Top 10 Pop 15/04/2022 (tjplnews.com) Now, he's back with a brand new track! #Flawless - No, that's the title of the track yes it is exactly that! This slick R&B track brings the bass, woodblock percussion and GREAT HARMONIES. The hook is bang on, catchy to the max, relatable to the men and seductive to the ladies - The hook is easy to grasp and doesn't let go of the listener - I had it embedded straight after the first drop. This piece is so full of emotion through its mix of lo fi and pop productive elements. This is a piece that would fit nicely in your relaxation playlists, your travel playlists, and yes, your sex playlists #JordanJones is an artist to watch for sure! Below you can check out our interview - star signs, inspiration behind the music and more!

*INTERVIEW*

If you could define music in one short sentence (no cheating) what would you say?

Music is a spiritual experience.

What's your star sign?

I’m a pisces.

Do you believe in the zodiac? Or are you a skeptic?

I believe that the stars have something to tell us and that we are a part of the collective energy.

One artist you would bring back to life?

I would definitely bring back Robert Johnson and ask him to tell me HIS version behind the crossroads legend.

When did you first realize that you had the potential to be an artist? Is there a memory that has stuck in your mind as the turning point for you?

When I was in my late teens I used to sing karaoke at a hotel I worked at in Manzanillo, Mexico. I had some dude tell me he found Huey Lewis and The News and that I should pursue being a singer. At that time I didn’t realize how important that moment was and how much that comment would stick with me. I didn’t really make a full effort or believe that comment until about 7 years later when I was about 27.

Do you play any instruments? If not, is there a specific one that you'd like to learn?

Yeah play guitar. I’m self taught so I am a character player. I played lead guitar in a bluesy rock band. Vocally I like singing Pop/R&B but when I play guitar I like playing slide blues on an acoustic. For some reason it makes the most sense when I pick up a guitar.

How would you define your sound?

This project is pretty new so my sound is still growing. Trying to find its place. I dig soul influenced music and pop and hope that comes across in my sound.
