Jacksonville-based singer-songwriter Jesabel released her latest single, "We Both Know," on April 11, 2025. This track represents a significant milestone in her career, being her first love song and the first release where she holds full writing credit. The song delves into the complexities of romantic love, contrasting an idealized, soul-based connection with the flawed realities of human relationships.
Jesabel describes the inspiration behind "We Both Know" as stemming from the duality of love. Her long-time collaborator, producer Jonathan Grant Berlin, recognized the song's readiness immediately, leading to its production at The Loft Studio in Los Angeles. Jesabel also took on the role of vocal engineer, continuing her commitment to learning and growing in her musical career.
To coincide with the release, Jesabel spent a month in Paris, immersing herself in the city's romantic atmosphere. She collaborated with local creatives, including photographer Nguyen Huynh Thai, to capture visual content that complements the song's themes. Jesabel also curated a vintage Parisian collection for her shop, JESABEL home, integrating her artistic expression across multiple platforms.
