The song touches upon themes of heartbreak, hoping there was some form of magic cure which could save us from those intense feelings of sadness love can leave us with. The musical components had acoustic themes in the verses, showcasing the vulnerability and softness of the lyrics, then later during the chorus and bridge section, there seems to be a slip into the drum fire, delivering more rock musical choices.

This was also displayed in the vocal elements. Jenson’s vocal abilities are quite impressive in that he can venture from quite laid-back, indie styles, to quite a fiery and powerful delivery at other times. It really portrays the passion and pain derived from being close and intimate with someone, and this was effectively delivered in his musical choices.

There were parts of instrumental solo, incorporating guitar, synth, beats and drums which really added to the upbeat and fun components of ‘Cure’. Jenson cleverly draws upon dark themes in his lyrics yet somehow delivers this through uplifting musical choices.
