Contemporary pop charms mixed with some tougher rock vibes and the occasional synth header make this track a spectacle to listen to. But then the message begins to sink in and the tone shifts, it moves with your mind and what once looked idyllic, now seems false. ‘Road Trip’ doesn’t just deal with running away, that’s not what the message is.
