Here's a little bit of UK indie for you - #PopSnuffIt is the newly released single from the five-piece band #TheTropicanas. The group teamed up with Ally Kelly - Music Base, Edinburgh who recorded, mixed, and mastered the track. This piece opens with full force from the band - there isn't a build-up period instead we instantly hear the full band just after the first beat - an interesting opening. The Kooks come to mind when listening to this track. There's a soulful nature behind indie rock. A spacey vocal, a variety of guitar layers from strums to plucks, and even little R&B twangs. The drumming is steady and sits nicely within the mix. This is a solid track from #TheTropicanas and I'm looking forward to hearing more from the UK talents in the near future.
