The multi-talented Matt Warren releases his third album, 'Excited to Die,' on November 1st, and he’s giving us a taste of what's to come with his new single, "It All Made Sense." The song digs deep into the pitfalls of having too much time on one's hands, and it serves as a haunting reminder of how introspection can sometimes lead to a dark place.
A One-Man Band
Matt Warren plays every instrument on "It All Made Sense," proving that he's not just a singer but a complete musician. Born out of the solitude of lockdown, Matt’s solo career has found its voice, and it's one that commands attention.
Influences and Aspirations
Drawing inspiration from iconic names like The Beatles, Fountains of Wayne, Kurt Vile, and Aimee Mann, Matt’s music aims to both soothe and provoke. While he hasn’t performed live recently, he has plans to hit the stage once the album is out.

In His Own Words
Discussing his approach, Matt explains: "The song was meant to be minimal, featuring only two guitars, a kick drum, tambourine, and vocals. It's organic, simple, and part of a larger narrative that the album will complete. I didn't want to make the lyrics too explicit. The meaning is part of a greater concept that people will hopefully understand once the album is out."
