Mercurius, is a dynmaic duo, comprising the family pairing of James Brown (vocals) and Paul Brown (guitars). Their latest release "Evocation" is a single with a vivid narrative of coping with haunting memories, underscored by the duo's evolving musical prowess.
"Evocation" brings in a cinematic opening to lure listeners into the sound space that they are entering. It's both gritty and bluesy but it also offers pop-like qualities. With a mix of classic rock, blues and pop, the sound of Mercurius blends its way into the alt-rock territory. The riffs are insane throughout. Crafted at Blast Recording Studios in Newcastle upon Tyne with the assistance of engineer and producer Oliver Cobb, "Evocation" showcases a matured sound from Mercurius, highlighted by Paul's inventive use of an e-bow creating the haunting main melody. James’s vocal delivery has reached new heights, reflecting his growing confidence and innate ability to harmonize effortlessly.
