MISHKIN FITZGERALD & THE CHEMICAL PERILS - Legs Broken - SINGLE REVIEW

MISHKIN FITZGERALD & THE CHEMICAL PERILS

Legs Broken

Brighton, United Kingdom

Brighton-based Rock band Birdeatsbaby renowned frontwoman Mishkin has spent the last 18 months creating a brand new project with a host of talent from around the UK. Brought together under the moniker Mishkin Fitzgerald & The Chemical Perils the band is a cacophony of contrasting genres, voices, and instruments, creating an explosive mix of theatrical songs influenced by Klezmer, Country & Folk.

Speaking about the new single Mishkin said:

“I always find that writing about revenge is the most fun – you can channel all your negative emotions and turn them into something that is cathartic. ‘Legs Broken’ is a good old gypsy-punk dancing song about getting your own back. Never p*ss off a songwriter - you might find yourself immortalised in a song, and not in a good way!”

Where do I even begin with this song?! The joyful energy of the accordion sounds to the storytelling swirls of strings and the folk-inspired lyrical content with a satirist and revengeful twist. This is a song that I can imagine being a hit in a Disney Film or in a play in the West End! This song oozes musical quality and genius. There’s so much to enjoy! So many elements and musical explorations within this production, but most importantly it is fun and entertaining! So, press play and sit back – enjoy the show!

Repeat, Repeat, Repeat. What a collaboration! Definitely deserving of its spot in our Ones2Watch!
