Brighton-based Rock band Birdeatsbaby renowned frontwoman Mishkin has spent the last 18 months creating a brand new project with a host of talent from around the UK. Brought together under the moniker Mishkin Fitzgerald & The Chemical Perils the band is a cacophony of contrasting genres, voices, and instruments, creating an explosive mix of theatrical songs influenced by Klezmer, Country & Folk.
Speaking about the new single Mishkin said:
“I always find that writing about revenge is the most fun – you can channel all your negative emotions and turn them into something that is cathartic. ‘Legs Broken’ is a good old gypsy-punk dancing song about getting your own back. Never p*ss off a songwriter - you might find yourself immortalised in a song, and not in a good way!”
Where do I even begin with this song?! The joyful energy of the accordion sounds to the storytelling swirls of strings and the folk-inspired lyrical content with a satirist and revengeful twist. This is a song that I can imagine being a hit in a Disney Film or in a play in the West End! This song oozes musical quality and genius. There’s so much to enjoy!
