Another smashing tune from Spyderhuff. You fans know what that means. More funk, more blues, more soul, more jazz. All wrapped up in a rock-centric bowtie that glimmers in the spotlight. This single, ‘The More That I Get,’ embodies ‘Greed’ in Spyderhuff's current Sin7 project (which is a great source of amazing music and you should check out each and every track in the series). The song starts out with a big band feel. It's got that funk in the back, that Spyderhuff attitude. Then the vocals start. They layer harmony and tone over and over. Building a sonic staple that you can't help but love. Here, the vocal acts as an instrument in the ensemble. It repeats, flows with the beat — it melts into the guitar and spans the track. The vibe is cool, the feeling is fresh. The sound is transporting.
‘The More That I Get’ takes you away on an Americana spiel that captivates from the start and invigorates throughout. Spyderhuff are masters of tone and complex melody work and it has never been more prominent than on ‘The More That I Get.’ It’s phat, gooey, rich and tonal. A greedy song for greedy music lovers.
