TerraTara is back with her latest single release 'Empty Apartment'. Now, TerraTara has been here with us before with her previous release 'A Love, Tantalize' which made it into our Sunday Slowdown feature back in July so as you can imagine, I was really pleased to hear of her latest release.

'Empty Apartment' is different to most releases in as much as it has actually been released before, over 20 years ago! The song was originally recorded by Kyra Solo in Argentina in 1999 before being mastered for a modern sound in 2022 by Fullersound.

The song is a relaxing folk number that contains acoustic guitar, percussion and the uplifting sound of a harmonica along with the gorgeously layered vocals of TerraTara.

The vocals of TerraTara are a mix between country, folk and the artist Halsey in tone. I really enjoy the way that the vocals and the instrumentation mix together. The song is such a free-flowing expression that is simple yet full! - TAMARA JENNA

The lyrics describe being alone and feeling empty after losing another lover and leaving town to hit the road busking and being broke. Talks of meeting the same type of "smokers, tokers and drinkers" is at the centre of this piece - Same people, different places.
