The track begins with upbeat and infectious guitar riffs to really invite the listeners into this message of running out of time and feeling ‘Close To The End’. The vocals I found quite unique and distinctive, they were quite rustic and stripped back in delivery yet also ventured into quite sweet and harmonious sounds to give the chorus quite a pop feel.

The track has quite an exciting element of surprise, throughout the verse the energy is being slightly elevated until we reach the climax in the chorus, and then a slip into the drum fire. The way the track then dives into more of a laid-back and pop feel portrays a message of comfort in chaos. The chorus is then accompanied by guitar picking to work well with the warm nature of the vocals.

The Starkillers can incorporate various themes and ideas into their music through interesting artistic choices in their soundscapes. It is their ability to fill their listeners with positive energy while describing dark themes of being ‘Close To The End’ which makes this a track you won’t forget!
