From bedroom to mosh pit—GHXSTAR’s debut EP hits where it hurts.

Released in May 2023, See You When I Can is the breakout EP from Brooklyn artist GHXSTAR, whose fusion of early 2000s pop punk, 2010s indie pop, and modern hyperpop has been quietly amassing thousands of streams. It's rough around the edges in all the right ways—raw, emotional, and self-aware without being self-indulgent.

Built from breakdowns—musical and emotional.

Lead track See You When I Can is a gut-punch about a toxic relationship with no clear villain, just two broken people trying to survive each other. “H3ADSICK” keeps the chaos going, a frenetic dive into the party scene that offers no real escape—just noise, neon and numbness. By the time SMILE rolls in, there’s light in the tunnel—hope without the sugar coating.

It’s emo, but not nostalgic—it’s now.

GHXSTAR’s music doesn’t dwell in the past. It reinvents it. With production help from names like HELLSING (fresh off the new City Morgue album) and Billy Kennedy, tracks like “ANYTHING” crackle with autotuned grit and pop-punk pathos. Mixed and mastered by TNVR, the EP is loud, lo-fi, and fiercely personal—recorded entirely in a bedroom or makeshift home studio.

A DIY heart wrapped in full-volume feelings.

There’s an ethos here: “Music can heal. Music can find you. Music can give you a chance.” That’s the pulse of GHXSTAR’s universe—one where healing sounds like screaming into a mic and making peace with the chaos.
