Why this matters (and why we’re covering it)

When music steps out of the green room and into public life, culture moves. Together For Palestine is one of those hinge-point moments: a one-night gathering of British and Palestinian artists, producers, designers and storytellers, staged to raise millions in humanitarian support for Gaza and to make a visible, collective statement of solidarity. The show is now sold out, with an official online stream planned so no one is locked out of the moment. togetherforpalestine.org

Second-wave additions

Further names were announced in early September — among them Celeste, Leigh-Anne, Elyanna, Saint Levant, El Far3i, Jameela Jamil, Louis Theroux, Ramy Youssef, Benedict Cumberbatch, Guy Pearce, Amelia Dimoldenberg and Holocaust survivor Stephen Kapos — underlining both the breadth of the line-up and the civic intent behind it.

Portishead’s special contribution

Portishead will contribute a pre-recorded performance of “Roads” with string quartet — a rare appearance that underlines the night’s singular mood.

Visual language & staging

The stage design is led by Es Devlin in collaboration with Gazan painter Malak Mattar, turning Wembley into a living canvas for contemporary Palestinian art. Director Amir Nizar Zuabi oversees moments of reflection that honour frontline doctors, teachers, journalists and aid workers.

Where the money goes

Funds are channelled via Choose Love to Palestinian-led partners delivering food, clean water, urgent medical care and psychosocial support — including Taawon (supporting 20,000 orphans in Gaza), PCRF (medical missions, evacuations and hospital support) and PMRS (rights-based primary healthcare across 600 communities). 100% of the ticket price (excl. fees) and all donations go to this work. donate.chooselove.org

Editorial note

Silence isn’t neutral — it’s narrative. This concert gathers artists who understand that music can carry both grief and resolve at stadium scale. Whether you’re in the room or watching the stream, the invitation is the same: listen closely, then act.
