FOUR STARS - So Long

Four Stars are an Emo Pop Punk band and consists of three talented gents, Aida Ahmed, Danny Escobar, and Mikey Williams. Embracing melodies and catchy hooks with an energetic and engaging attitude. I personally have missed this style of music being a fan of ‘Simple Plan’ and ‘Yellowcard’, the late noughties Pop / Punk, this was music to my ears bringing me a nostalgic feel of my teenage years. ‘So Long’ their new single is refreshing to hear, it’s like meeting an old friend with some many new stories to share. I love this track and need to hear more!

OSCAR BIRD - Can't Hide Your Heart

Oscar Bird has blessed us with an absolutely beautiful track called ‘Can’t Hide Your Heart’ and I adore it! The vocals command the song with an incredibly powerful yet angelic tone, the drumbeat keeps the pace going smoothly, and the guitars fill the song with washes of melodic beauty until the guitar solo takes the song to new heights before bringing you to a soft climactic finish with the bass drum creating a beautiful heartbeat. This is one you can block out the world too, so stick on some headphones and fade away into the sounds while absorbing this musical gift.

KAELEY JADE - Poltergeist

Kaeley Jade has recently released a vibrant, upbeat Indie–Pop single which does hold elements of the New Country genre! I’m so in love with the lyrics throughout this new track ‘Poltergeist’ Kaeley Jade really creates a haunting love story with easy-to-follow and fun lyrics to sing along to. This sounds incredibly similar to the Lauren Jenkins country tune ‘Give Up The Ghost’ thus making it sound shockingly familiar to me but new and tremendously exciting! I adore her vocals' sweet yet mature sound and absolutely admire her dynamic vocal range throughout this playful, groovy yet soulful tune!

VICTORIA FINEHOUT-VIGIL - Swallow

New York City, United States

Victoria Finehout-Vigil has embraced her musical muse and is becoming known within the music scene, especially with her heartwarming talents. Her first new single ‘Swallow’ is hypnotising, with a smooth acoustic guitar lightly strumming away giving a subtle rhythmic backing beat allowing Victoria’s powerful and incredibly mystical vocals to take focus on this track. I imagine strolling through a woodland forest listening along to ‘Swallow’ with a gypsy skirt blowing in the wind while lightly dancing, twirling, and spinning around surrounded by mother natures beautiful creations. 100% added to my soulful songs playlist, I can’t wait to hear more!

DEVIN FARNEY - My Kind Of Person

Devin Farney is an extraordinary artist, he has been very successful within the music scene as an international performer, composer, songwriter, superb pianist, and freelance music instructor. Devin enjoys the creation of Pop, Rock, and Indie music with his love of piano, keyboard, synth, and guitar. ‘My Kind Of Person’ is his brand new release and it is absolutely lovely being a super chilled, laid-back track! Throughout the song I get a melodic, light, and breezy sense of feeling, a perfect tune to play while you’re driving down open country lanes, taking in the view of nature's beauty.

BOOK NOT BROOKE - Popsicle

Nashville, TN, United States

Book NOT Brooke is a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist and she’ll instantly capture you with her sweet-sounding voice and her creative sound. The new single ‘Popsicle’ consists of Indie – Pop creating a vibrant sound, matched with a sense of vintage folk-rock adding that extra creative edge, making this single really stand out! The drums are a driving rock beat setting the pace, power, and pocket with one guitar creating a lead melody and a second guitar layer washing nicely underneath, giving some power and dynamic depth. ‘Popsicle’ is a short and sweet song but fun and fabulous!

NUMBER 7

MOTE - Industrial Love

Berlin, Germany

‘Industrial Love’ is the latest release from MOTE and it’s awesome! MOTE is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who enjoys creating Indie Rock with phenomenal melodics, energetic beats, and vibrant guitar riffs with smooth synthetic features. I do get a slight sense of a ‘Placebo’ influence as I hear some similarities within this track such as the melodic tones and I adore the wash of vocals on the bridge before the last chorus brings it to a sudden end. This tune is a super speedy, upbeat Indie track with high but smooth harmonies that you’ll fall in love with.

NUMBER 8

SOFT SET – Diamond

Toronto, Canada

Soft Set are an Indie / Rock duo and their brand new release ‘Diamond’ really is a gem of a tune! The duo is influenced by artists such as The Stone Roses, The Smiths, and Slow Drive and we can definitely hear each of these inspirations flowing through Soft Set’s music but still sharing their own unique sound. This song is one you can dance around to as it has a jumping drumbeat throughout its entirety and high guitar riffs that give a light and airy tone. I do adore the beautiful harmonies throughout this track, they are truly breathtaking.

HAILING ISHIMURA - If You Get This, Follow Our Beacon

Newport News, United States

Hailing Ishimura is a Sci-fi Post-rock indie band who has released an atmospheric instrumental masterpiece with their new single ‘If You Get This, Follow Our Beacon’. Starting with a smooth and soft intro that in time builds up to a powerful musical piece. I get a big inspiration from E.L.O while listening and I could totally hear this tune being played during a ‘Stranger Things’ episode or within the Alien franchise! I get this vibe from the use of the 80’s electronic synth tones and the dramatic break that sends the song soaring into the stratosphere through space and time.

NUMBER 10

TURQUOISE - Le Bruit

Brussels, Belgium

Turquoise is a four-piece band and they have just released ‘Le Bruit’ a shoegaze Indie single! Capturing a mellow dramatic synth sound with funky bass, you will find yourself jumping along to this upbeat tune, this matched with beautiful echoey vocals that you can float away to! I get a fun festival feel from this song! I would enjoy seeing this played live, I can foresee so much energy and excitement on the stage, fun and spontaneous moments between the band and fans! Maybe even some breakdancers or choreographed dance moves, bringing that energetic musical bounce into action.
