MIA MORMINO - Joan Of Arc

Los Angeles, United States

Credit - Levi Jawara

Mia Mornino is no stranger to TJPL News, her single titled 'Alternate Reality' is a track that we've reviewed in the past and is one that has stuck in my brain ever since. Now back with her brand new track, 'Joan Of Arc' showcases the growth in Mia Mormino's artistic abilities. The track opens with an acoustic piano and dark pop synths that encapsulate the lyrics of the track perfectly, man Mia Mormino has done it again! Number 1 from me this week again!! We want to know what you think too so make sure you have a listen and get voting in our poll!

NUMBER 2

THE ASTRONOMERS - Like The Holidays

Fond du Lac, United States

The United States-based pop group 'The Astonomers' released their latest single 'Like The Holidays' on 8th August. 'Like The Holidays is a catchy happy-go-lucky song with catchy hip-hop drum loops, vocal chops, and spacious synth melodies. The way that the product works is that the spaces between the rhythm and the vocal melodies create depth to the overall track. The lyrics are catchy. The vocals in the first verse are very 'Shaun Mendez' in tone. The hook lifts the whole track and is memorable and when the second verse comes in there are faster lyrics that almost sound like contemporary rap. This is a great song!

NUMBER 3

ONBAR, PATRICK HIZON - GOOD

San Jose, United States

Credit - Nino Panes

'Good' is a collaborative project between ONBAR and Parick Hizon. This track takes a shot at your soul so quickly and makes your soul dance along to its funky beats but that is not all! The track also implements slow hip-hop and R&B to bring the realms of pop, funk, and R&B together. This is such a soulful track that works to relax the listener as well as getting us to dance along. This is a great track! One of my favorite submissions all week hands down. If you're intrigued (which you should be) then click the play button below to get lost in this track. If you're a fan of some of the slower instrumentals that artists such as Phora use and the funkiness of old-school soul and R&B then yep, this is one for you!

NUMBER 4

FAR-BE - On The Rocks

Rotterdam, Netherlands

'On The Rocks' by Rotterdam artist FAR-BE is a whole Summer Vibe. Opening with the sound of the seaside we're immediately set up for an anthem here. As the track develops we hear funky house drum loops and a funky bass melody that finds themselves accompanied by a calypso house bell synth. This track is definitely one that will get you in the groove and ready to move. Although there are no words to this production, you won't care as you dance the day and night away! NUMBER 5

BAYWUD - Lullaby

Los Angeles, United States

BAYWUD has brought a little bit of indie folk pop to our finds this week. In his new single, we hear something fresh and clean in 'Lullaby'. The track was released on August the 3rd. 'Lullaby' opens with clear and warm guitar plucks that are shortly joined by the most unexpected vocal harmonies. Wow, this is one of the cleanest and most beautiful harmonies I've heard in a long time. The lyrics are truly special and the track overall is just what it says on the tin, a lullaby. Discussing not knowing how to sleep without a certain person, and wanting them to kiss you goodnight, this song is a dedication to someone special. Hats off to BAYWUD, this song is truly brilliant.

NUMBER 6

DZASKO, Elodie Gervaise - Like This

Los Angeles, United States

Credit - Alexis Rodriguez

DZASKO has teamed up with Elodie Gervaise to create a track that is guaranteed to mesmerise! 'Like This' merges soulful vocals with futuristic synth rock and dark pop to create something that blends genres to fit the narrative of many listeners. I love the way that the instrumentation works to create a multitude of emotions without sounding messy in the slightest. This track is a great attempt at greatness! I'm definitely looking forward to hearing more from both DZASKO and Elodie Gervaise and I definitely want to hear more projects from these two together in the near future! Make sure that you have a listen!

NUMBER 7

CHARLIE WEATHERSBY - Iridescent Sky

San Antonio, TX, United States

Texas-based artist 'Charlie Weathersby' has created a whole dream in her song entitled 'Iridescent Sky' this song brings something fresh to our finds this week in the form of relaxing vocals and a more laid-back minimalistic dream. There's just about the right amount of instrumentation present within the track to offer listeners something that both enhances the vocal tone and equally works as a way to provide new elements to the track when needed. This is a gorgeously crafted piece that I was super excited to find! This artist has a bright future ahead!

NUMBER 8

KOLEKLEIN - FEMBOT

Las Vegas, United States

Well, well, well what can I say about this next one? 'Fembot' is the latest release from Las Vegas star 'KOLEKLIEN'. Sticking to its name to a T, 'Fembot' is a production that implements futurism and sci-fi into a cinematic experience for anyone who hits play (the button is below). In this piece, listeners are provided with heavily distorted synths, drum and bass, and a whole load of techno. This hardcore club track is guaranteed to cause sweats on the dancefloor at any rave - THIS TRACK COMES WITH THE FOLLOWING WARNING - Drink plenty of water before entering.

NUMBER 9

Eddz - Ignorance Remix

Northampton, United Kingdom

Credit - Dammo Photography

Eddz is a EDM artist based in Northampton, United Kingdom. In his latest single 'Ignorance Remix' listeners get whisked into a wacky world of dark synths, bubbly drum beats, and a rock-style vocal. The track is highly experimental and blurs the lines of a multitude of genres. This is a really interesting piece to listen to so make sure that you do. There are elements of this piece that resemble synth rock similar to the likes of the band 'Muse'. Make sure you get voting in the poll below too!

NUMBER 10

AIMEE IRIS - Dancing On Tables

Brighton, United Kingdom

United Kingdom-based singer-songwriter Aimee Iris released her song 'Dancing On Tables in July. This song brings a little bit of indie pop to our Top 10 finds this week. 'Dancing On Tables' doesn't wait to introduce itself, the song goes straight in from the first instance. At the start of the track, we hear a nice little acoustic set including features from acoustic keys and shakey percussion along with angelic vocals. As the track develops (which is very quickly) we're brought into a country-inspired pop piece that is full of energy, and brass instrumentation in a whole easy listening experience.
