‘Wrap Me Up’ is the latest single from stalwart vocalist and songwriter Clare Easdown, produced by Jburnsmusic. The track takes pop and slows it down, bringing a soul vibe into the mix. It's subtle but it’s there. Then the instrumental takes a completely different path. It brings textures of trap, feelings of R&B and pinches at the nape of rap. The two sounds — the high pop vocals and the grittier trap instrumental — oppose one another. They meet at a crossroads and deliberate. They circle one another, coming to a clash in the chorus where it all begins to make sense.
