SEVEN LAYER PIANO CAKES - Nebula Eyes

Los Angeles, United Kingdom

This week's top 10 kicks off with Nebula eyes by Seven Layer Piano Cakes. This track begins with some heavy anticipation-building synthesisers. This is however short-lived as the vocals kick in. Smooth yet raspy, providing almost a pop-punk sound, which quickly leads into some beautifully placed harmonies. The contrasting fast beat to slow vocals creates an enticing overall sound, pleasing to any vibe be it relaxed or energised. The anticipation building continues throughout as all the sounds continue to build, leaving the listener itching for more after the final fade. Nebula eyes is an excellently composed piece and one to listen to if you like raw, beautiful sounds.

NUMBER 2

RAYMOND REVEL - Nowhere Close To Famous

Fort Worth, TX, United States

Credit - Raymond Revel

Next on this week’s list is “Nowhere Close to famous” by Fort Worth’s Raymond Revel. This excellent piece gives a beautiful nod to the classic arcade games we all know and love. Starting with sounds that could be imagined to be present on any well-known arcade machine, predominantly pac-man, this piece fills the listener with nostalgia before reaching any main sections. This track will have anyone losing themselves in the moment as the electronics ring through the speakers and the simplicity of the chord progressions provides that feeling of familiarity all great music does. Then in come the unique vocals this track has to offer, with witty, self-reflective lyrics. It’s a song of self-truth that anyone can relate to. This is an excellent future hit and certainly one that can be imagined being played to the masses at a festival.

NUMBER 3

TYLER BROOKER - Knuclebuster

Glemsford, United Kingdom

For anyone wanting high-energy, amazing sounds Tyler Brooker’s “Knucklebuster” is what your playlist needs to include. This track is awash with tantalising synths woven with extraordinary beats, consisting of catchy claps, leaving the most stiff-lipped people getting themselves lost in a movement, crashing through any concerns leaving them worry-free for a few moments. All this is experienced before the vocals kick in, when they do another layer of meditative sound is introduced, leaving the listener in an almost dream-like state as they move. This track has so much potential to be a favourite for the darkened clubs of the world, where people want nothing but vibe and joy.

NUMBER 4

RYE CATCHERS - UFO

Milwaukee, United States

We then move through to “UFO” by Rye Catchers, and wow what can be said!? This track kicks off and continues to follow a four-beat synth in a beautiful mind-capturing rhythm. Then come the vocals, without hesitation, they add a level of intrigue, something that is catchy and can stick in your mind all day long. The contrast between low beat and high vocals provides a nostalgic vibe of the 80s/90s club scene, modernised at delivery with perfection to the current music landscape.

As the track builds there is a tease of a drop, which leaves the listener clinging on waiting for it to fully crash in, when it does and the sounds mould together this track becomes a major earworm for the listener, with the need to wind it back to experience this joy again.

NUMBER 5

LUKX - Get Shit Done

Ramillies, Belgium

Next up is Belgium’s very own Lukx with “Get shit done”. Kicking off with a familiar beat, this track sets the tone for the listener as the Bob along to some lower-level synths and catchy beat. This is quickly followed by the vocals. These seem to provide a vibe of the sternness that comes with an important self-growth conversation and the lyrics confirm this. The rap-like flow discusses the battle between all people to be productive but too lazy at the same time, these creative lyrics can resonate with everyone.

Mashed together with some killer synths as the track takes off with some amazing pulsing beats, telling the important messages while keeping the listeners soaked entirely into the vibe.

NUMBER 6

DISCO DREAMS - Ether Swamp

Cleveland, United States

The next on the top 10 is Cleveland artist Disco Dreams and their release Ether Swamp. This magnificent track offers the listener a chance to be in the moment, with a trance-like anthem booming through the speakers. This psychedelic track is one with a strong extraterrestrial feel. Somehow, unlike other tracks with a similar vibe, this one doesn’t provide the same nerve-racking, eerie feel, instead, here we are relaxed and put into a calming state. This upbeat bass-heavy track offers some infectious dance vibes with some excellently woven, soothing, almost choir-like vocals, providing warmth and joy to the atmosphere.

NUMBER 7

J RIOS - Aventura

Miami, United States

Next up we have “Aventura” and with the beautifully put-together track from Miami’s J Rios. This one is perfectly on trend for the modern-day mainstream charts and certainly one that can be seen being played by the masses on a summer's day. With a catchy urban beat, that could be danced to by anyone from the club to the salsa dance floor, and its warming rhythmic vocals this is certainly a track to add to the holiday playlist. Kicking off with a deep voice, setting a sensual scene to the track, followed by some warm layered vocals harmonising to create a summer beach party anthem.

The next to add to your Spotify playlist is “Fancy Jeans” by LA artist Nick Campbell Destroys. This amazing funky piece offers many of the artistic stylings of the Jazz era, updated for this generation. The soft, yet prominent beat, coupled with synth bass offers an extremely upbeat and energetic sound that would have everyone dancing in no time. The beautiful vocals offer a sense of maturity bringing with their depth and unique character. The subtle yet clean runs exhibit the vocals range perfectly and add a new dimension to the funk this track brings. This is such an amazing piece that can be enjoyed by all ages, all genre lovers, and all tastes in the atmosphere.

NUMBER 9

ALLEGRA - He Ain't You

London, United Kingdom

Want to listen to new radio Worth music? Well “He ain’t you” from Allegra is the way to go. The heavy energetic beat, gorgeous piano riffs, and synths make this track perfect for any current radio station's playlist. From the second this track begins there is a need to get up and move your body, doesn’t matter how but it needs to move, with the memories of every club night you’ve had with your friends streaming into your mind. The vocals are simple and catchy with a solid message, that when with your friends could easily become an anthem. I could see this being on par with the likes of Riton and Nightcrawlers, given the similar vibes and amazing composition. This one will be being played around the pool on holiday, without fail.

NUMBER 10

DE ANTIQUIS ET NOVIS - Alchemy

Munich, Germany

To round off this week’s top ten we have “Alchemy” from German artist De Antiquis Et Novis. This track fades in with a deep bass which sets the tone for your foot-tapping experience. Slowly all the elements are introduced one at a time, creating the illusion of a DJ being there with you, playing your own personal soundtrack. With amazing build-ups, invoking a feeling of tension, leading to heart-stopping drops this electronic sound is a glorious representation of emotion building within the music. The simplicity is a great one for a festival with the joyful sound being something I can see playing in hotels and clubs all over the world as people dance their issues away. This sends you on a roller-coaster of feelings and leaves you wanting to hear more.
